One of the most intriguing aspects of the Book of Enoch is its relationship with the Vatican. The Book of Enoch was not included in the canon of the Hebrew Bible, and it was largely unknown in the West until the 17th century. However, the book was well-known to early Christians, and some scholars believe that the New Testament contains references to the book. The Ethiopian Orthodox Church also considers the Book of Enoch to be part of its biblical canon. Despite its ancient origins and its historical significance, the Book of Enoch has had a complicated relationship with the Vatican. In the early centuries of Christianity, the book was widely circulated among Christians and was even quoted by some early Christian writers. However, as the Christian Church became more centralized and hierarchical, the book fell out of favor and was eventually suppressed. In the 4th century, the Church Father Jerome rejected the Book of Enoch and other apocryphal texts, arguing that they were not inspired by God and should not be considered part of the canon.
